Abstract

The Arapahoe County Open Space, Parks, and Trails Division is building a maintenance program for its current and future properties. The Division has limited historic maintenance cost information. This capstone is comprised of two components: the first component is a maintenance cost survey of local land management agencies and the second component is a current analysis of the Division's maintenance expenditures and maintenance tracking procedures. Responses to the questionnaire provided locally based maintenance cost information for three categories of parks, open space, and trails. The maintenance cost analysis supplemented the results of the questionnaire. This capstone developed six recommendations for improving the Divisions maintenance program.
