Abstract
This paper is a qualitative examination of self-reported values and behavior congruence in six retired National Football League players. A semi-structured interview was conducted to examine factors that players believed influenced their values and their values-behavior congruence and, at times, incongruence. Themes from the data and recommendations for future research are discussed.
