Abstract
This paper addresses the statistics, course of development, risk factors, and potential biases regarding males with eating disorders. The author proposes that to reduce stigma and circulation of misinformation, as well as increase awareness and successful intervention for men with eating disorders, targeted educational outreach programming should be aimed at university professionals with interpersonal relationships with male students. This includes coaches, athletic trainers, residential advisors (RAs), academic advisors, and faculty sponsors of university social organizations.
