Abstract
An online job board focused solely on energy-related jobs has substantial potential for success. Job seekers turn more frequently to online job boards. Employers seek job boards that are more niche-oriented in an attempt to find candidates more precisely tailored to the available positions at their companies. Advertisers are heavily reliant on the Internet to market their products or services due to the increased visibility it provides. This capstone proposes that eEnergyJobs.com, an online job board targeted to the energy industry, is a viable initiative. Results demonstrate that a ready market exists, and that its success will depend on a well-planned and well-executed marketing plan. Results were used to develop the business and marketing plans for the eEnergyJobs.com new venture.
