Abstract
The National Park Service and the U.S. Navy should develop and implement an environmental awareness outreach program for the USS Arizona Memorial Site to inform visitors about the site's environmental aspects. An outreach program will increase visitor environmental awareness while improving the interagency management of the site by enabling both agencies to conform to existing policies and environmental management goals. The development of an environmental awareness outreach program should involve input from agency personnel responsible for the management or operation of any aspect of the USS Arizona Memorial Site. Content for the outreach program should include past environmental improvements and current efforts underway so visitors understand how the Park Service and Navy are managing the environmental aspects of the site.
