As companies in the tape and label industry feel increasing environmental and economic pressures, the need arises to address sustainability as it relates to the overall business model. Within the tape and label industry many companies and business associations have begun addressing sustainability as it relates to products and technologies. However, there has been very little promotion of internal sustainable operational practices that companies should be addressing. This document examines various sustainable activities implemented by companies and business associations inside and outside of the tape and label industry. It is the intent of this document to raise awareness and provide recommendations to tape and label industry leaders' to promote the benefits of addressing sustainable operational practices throughout the industry.
