Abstract

This paper addresses the creation of a 30-page poetry chapbook based on autobiographical and geographical themes. It explores the impact of Confessional poets as well as poets from other genres on Rachel Barbe's writing structure and style; it also examines academic writing in the field of poetry that has affected her writing process. A reflection on the creation and revision of this project clarifies the chapbook's suitability as a new contribution to the literary field of poetry as well as its potential for publication.
