Abstract
Dormant is an original screenplay that explores the life of Decan Fry. He was a child of abuse who is dealing with the resulting inner demons as an adult. Deke suffers an accident early in the screenplay which leads to strange manifestations that haunt him throughout. Eventually, he is forced to face the cause of his trauma, his long-dead step-father in a surreal world. The story is a thriller which explores elements of psychology and the conscious mind. In the end, Deke awakes at the point of his accident from the beginning, having created many characters and situations that were unreal, but dealt with problems that were very real. The attached document represents only the first half of the screenplay.
