Southern Cheyenne Chief Black Kettle. (c. 1803 – November 27, 1868)

Black Kettle's camp of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes was attacked by United States Army troops under the command of Colonel John M. Chivington during the Sand Creek Massacre.
