Colonel John Milton Chivington, United States Army. (January 27, 1821 – October 4, 1894)
Led the Third Colorado Cavalry in an attack on Black Kettle's encampment of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, later known as the Sand Creek Massacre.
