Abstract
Human Resources has long been overlooked as a strategic business partner often thought of as a necessary department but provides little value. HR professionals can use their positions in the company to alter this stigma by being the voice, driver, and champions of change. Change is a constant in business and this paper offers HR a roadmap and tools to create successful change. This roadmap details how HR can move executives, middle managers, and employees from those issues within the company that impend change to a company ready for change. The movements identified for HR in this roadmap are: distrust to trust, resistance to readiness, and disengagement to engagement. Success with change will solidify HR's value contributions.
