Abstract
You can't go home again, according to Thomas Wolfe. David Cunningham doesn't want to. But leaving college to look after an ailing father becomes the least of his worries, when an unseen being begins killing off the residents of his home town. David has a connection to all those who have been killed and may be connected to the creature itself. Cold is a horror novel in the style of Stephen King's Salem's Lot or Peter Straub's Ghost Story. Cold is the story of a young man who is just trying to get his adult life started, when his plans are interrupted by supernatural forces that have their own plans for him.
