Abstract
A Wretched Soul, Bruis'd with Adversity is a collection of three short stories dealing with the marginalized in society. The first story deals with two cousins and how their lives intertwine to the point where one is willing to sacrifice his life for the others. The second story involves a brother and sister relationship as the brother watches his sister's mind deteriorate due to mental illness. The third story deals with love among the retired, and lost opportunity. The goal of this project is to give a voice to those who are not often written about in the short story format.
