Abstract
An I on Nature is a collection of three personal essays that are representative of the nature writing genre. The first essay reveals that by keeping an eye on nature, the writer understands that mundane tasks are a part of life that lead to bigger moments. Through a series of personal anecdotes, the second essay explores the healing properties of salt, which leads to an exciting revelation that inspires the writer to promote healing in an unconventional way. The third essay tells of the writer's search for the lost natural world of her youth. The project includes a reflective paper that expounds on the creative process and redefines the theme of keeping an I and an eye on nature.
