Abstract
Red Letter Communications (RLC) believes the news media's influence is an important communications tool for its target audience (politicians, elected officials, and military members). This Capstone Project develops training modules to teach RLC's target audience to harness the news media's power. By taking a conceptual approach to the research, it has been determined that although there is a great deal of information regarding media training, much of it is anecdotal and based on empirical research. A review of literature reveals the need to design media training modules unique to RLC's target audience. To supplement current media training and address misconceptions RLC's target audience has toward the news media, this Capstone Project develops comprehensive, audience-specific training modules.
