Abstract
Surviving disaster and disaster leadership are subject areas that have still been relatively ignored by researchers. Therefore, though many people have a general idea of how they should act when faced with a disaster, they have very little idea about how they will mentally react and what necessary actions they should take to save their lives. A television show like Lost, in which the characters survive a plane crash only to continue to face disasters on the strange island that they have landed, could help demonstrate to leaders and followers the appropriate actions needed in order to survive, as well as some of the dynamics that arise between people in a disaster. This show could be used as a training tool, both intentionally and unintentionally, for its viewers.
