Abstract
This qualitative examination of organizational leadership ties the concepts of organizational behavior, organizational strategy and structure, organizational change management, and team dynamics into a software development organization's efforts to transition from the Waterfall development method to the Agile development method. Current change management strategies and innovative leadership practices are applied to identify the best way to approach a transformative change with the highest chances for success. Bringing employees along in a way that accommodates the varying degrees to which people are able to accept change will benefit the company and the employees. Using varied and appropriate leadership practices in the right circumstances will enable leaders to accomplish the transformation at the correct pace for everyone involved.
