Abstract
HPV is a sexually transmitted disease. Most young men and women will be infected and/or carry this virus at one point in their lives and not even know it. At this time, it is the leading cause of cervical cancer in women; this year alone 4,020 women will die from cervical cancer (American Cancer Society 2014). Vaccines are available to protect youth against specific strains of the HPV virus that can cause cancer. However, many today are still not informed or do not really understand the virus and therefore are not taking advantage of the vaccine available.
