Abstract
Training is a critical aspect of the new hire process and an employee's development cycle, the importance of which often gets overlooked. Failure to provide proper training results in high turnover costs, particularly for virtual employees. A strategically designed training program for virtual employees will aim to help tackle a high volume of turnover, reduce high costs associated with new hires, build company brand name or niche in the market, increase customer satisfaction, and gain an advantage among competitors. This research paper proposes the need for a highly strategic training program that delivers an in-depth focus on the goals of both virtual employees as well as the organization.
