Abstract
The National and Global Assessment (NAGA) project conducted by the United States Geological Survey produces estimates for the world’s oil and gas resources. The project’s current web application for the dissemination of these results fails to properly communicate the scientific research. This project entails the development of a modern JavaScript application to enhance the user experience, provide a more effective lens into the database, and improve transparency into the NAGA project. The evaluation of the application by the Energy Resources Program Data Management Team and Web Team indicate the application is an improvement over the current application and is an effective data sharing platform for the NAGA project.
