Abstract

Workforce development programs have connected job seekers with economic development opportunities for years. However, traditional workforce development programs still have not addressed many of the barriers faced by potential program participants, thus creating a barrier to program access. This project develops a pilot program for an online workforce development program that seeks to eliminate many of those barriers. This project concludes with the knowledge that the development of a pilot program requires much more planning and collaboration than the researcher of this project initially believed to be the case.
